When words change, love finds a new way to speak.

There is still connection here.... still meaning.... still moments of tenderness waiting to be noticed. At Dementia and Me I walk beside you with a calm, open heart helping you navigate the shifting landscape of dementia with more presence, confidence and gentleness.

Because even in the uncertainty....

Even in the silence....

Love still lives here and it continues to guide us.

I'm Sally Prince, I help families affected by dementia find steadiness, clarity and calm during one of life's most challenging journeys. I know how overwhelming it can feel when someone you love begins to change... when communication shifts... and when you're suddenly carrying more than you ever expected.

Through compassionate support and practical, heart-led guidance I walk beside you, helping you navigate each moment with more confidence, connection and gentleness. My purpose is to make sure you never feel alone and to remind you that even in the hardest chapters love still lives here... even when words change.

With nearly 40 years of caring for individuals living with dementia I've witnessed the quiet truths that families often carry: the exhaustion, the guilt, the fear of doing it wrong, the heartbreak of watching someone you love slowly slip into a different version of themselves and a deep longing to still feel connected.

Those experiences shaped everything I do. They taught me the difference between "care" and caring and they inspired me to create a new approach, one rooted in presence, compassion and dignity.

Over the years I've become family to the people I support. I've seen stress soften, moments of joy return. I've watched families rediscover a new kind of closeness, not in words but in touch, tone and shared quiet moments.

Alongside hands-on caregiving I now devote my heart to teaching families the gentle skills of compassionate care helping to create connection rather than conflict, calm instead of overwhelm and understanding in place of fear.

Together we can create a supportive and loving community, a place where you feel seen, understood and supported as you navigate the changes and challenges of dementia. You don't have to carry this alone, I'm here with you every step of the way.

Work With Me

Where compassion meets presence: Personalised dementia care from the heart.

For nearly forty years I've been walking gently beside individuals living with dementia offering care that sees far beyond the diagnosis. I've learnt that connection doesn't always come through words, sometimes its felt in a quiet smile, a familiar gesture or the simple comfort of being understood.

My care is personal, intuitive and deeply human. I honour the story your loved one carries, the tenderness of this chapter and the need for care that brings not just safety but peace. Every interaction is offered with patience, presence and respect so your loved one feels valued not managed.

Together we create a calm, nurturing environment where your loved one can feel held, where you can breathe again and where the moments that matter most can still be found.

Success Stories

What Past Clients Are Saying

Dear Sally, It has always been Mothers wish to stay in her home as she gets older and for a while we thought that this might not be the case. However due in the main part of your visits my sister and I can see she is coping with her health and old age well at home now. Your approach is non-confrontational, kind, friendly and you bring out the best in our mother. You seem to get her to do so much more than others and without any fuss or irritation from mum. Sometimes when she doesn't want to do things she can get a little frustrated and uncooperative but this never happens when you see her. We trust you and your approach completely and hope that you continue to work with mum for years to come, we know clients will not want to let you go once they see the magic you bring to their families.

Dear Sally, We are writing to say how relieved, grateful and impressed we are with the care and help you give our Mother. Having an elderly parent who obviously needs support and knowing we are unable to provide the care she really needs is a worry. Since you have started helping with mum we have seen her become more interested and looking forward to the time you spend with her. Having seen quite a few people come and go over the years it is truly evident that you bring something different and we are so very happy that mum is happy. Your gentle nature, patience and kindness make such a difference to mums days and it helps us feel more confident that she is ok and safe. Thankyou for your professionalism and innate knowledge of what mums needs are. Again we are incredibly grateful.

I would like to say thankyou so much for the time you spent with my Father, before you started visiting him he had no interest in doing anything and he had basically given up. After a few visits from you he had changed dramatically. The patience you have and your caring personality is a real gift, my Father began to look forward to seeing you and enjoyed playing cards and painting, a talent we thought he had lost but you showed us different. You became a major part of my Fathers life and indeed ours, for this I am truly thankful.

Yes. The skills I teach can support every stage of dementia. I support both the person living with dementia and the family helping you communicate more easily, reduce stress and reconnect in meaningful ways even as things change. This is a heart led, personalised care where presence and understanding come first.

Not at all. Everything I teach is designed to be simple, gentle and easy to put into practice even if your feeling overwhelmed or completely new to caregiving. You'll learn step by step techniques that make caring easier and help you create calmer, more connected days with your loved one.

I'm feeling overwhelmed and guilty. Can your support help with that?

My mentorship and courses include emotional support, grounding practices and gentle guidance so you can feel calmer, more confident and less alone. You deserve support as much as your loved one does.

How do I know which service is right for me?

I offer a range of options, from hands on care to courses and mentorship. If you're unsure I'm happy to help you find the best fit. We can look at your situation, the stage your loved one is in and the support you most need right now. You don't have to figure it out alone, I'll guide you toward what will help you most.
